Update: Despite the seam stabilization issues, this fabric sewed and washed beautifully and made really nice pants. I stabilized with half inch seam tape from the waist down to upper thigh, where the stress points are. I serged the seam and then sewed a 1mm stitch next to the serged edge. The seam are strong. I do love the way these pants came out. I upgraded to 4 stars. I just may buy this fabric again. This fabric requires special attention to the seams. Seams split apart when under stress, such as a crotch seam. It’s a very loose weave, and although beautiful, it’s difficult to work with since every seam needs to be stabilized with a seam tape or special treatment to prevent seam separation. I even tried French seams! I would not buy it again. I am only thankful that I gave a sample the ‘pull’ test before sewing. It didn’t take any effort to split the seam even after serging the edges to prevent fraying. The pants I am making will need a lot of seam tape!

I fell in love with a dress at a boutique but the fit wasn't quite right. I ordered fabric from a few sites (since feeling it is not an option), and this was the winner! Perfect weight and color to match the summer dress I loved and it washed beautifully!
